Although the exact construction date of the mansion is unknown, it is understood that it was built before 1885, according to the inscription on the wall painting in the main room on the second floor. Although the owner of the mansion before the exchange was listed as Berguba in a recorded document, the name of the family was Karaiktidi. Since the Savaş family, one of the local families of Mustafapaşa, has lived in this house until today, this house is known by the name of the family today. The building is two-storey and consists of two independent structures.
The current plan belongs to the eastern structure. An open courtyard is entered through the mansion’s double-columned and winged wooden door. The railings of the stairs and windows here were made with the cast iron technique, which is rare in the region and is not used today. A rectangular room and sofa are entered through an arched door with steps on the left side of the courtyard. The other building is located at the end of the long L-shaped courtyard.
There is a round lighting window on the pediment of the entrance door of the building. Around the window, there is an inscription with the inscription 1891 and two lion figures. The walls of the building, made with masonry technique, are made of stone; Wood and iron materials were used for doors, ceilings and windows. In the upper floor hall, there is one of the most interesting wall paintings of the region, depicting vibrant colors. On the pediment of the wall where the windows of the barrel-vaulted room are located, the Expulsion from Paradise scene is depicted in the center of the composition, and a scene consisting of figures depicting human life in periods of ten years is depicted around it. Additionally, in the other room on the upper floor, Istanbul Galata Tower is depicted, and there is a human figure on both sides of the tower. The date 1885 can be seen below the picture.
