Cappadocia University Mustafapaşa Village and Guest Room

The building, which is estimated to have been built in the second half of the 19th century, was a meeting place of the village committee, a pharmacy and a school before the exchange; During the Republic period, it was used for various functions such as village chamber, town hall, PTT office, guest house and library. Today, it serves as the educational building of Cappadocia University. The building is a two-storey building with a polygonal plan.

The main entrance of the building, located in the center of Mustafapaşa, is located on the northwest facade. Above the entrance door is the inscription “Old Village and Guest Room, 1939” written on a marble inscription, indicating one of the functions it assumed during the Republic period. The upper floor of the building, whose foundations are carved into the main rock, is reached by stairs from an arched entrance. Here, there is a terrace area and rooms around it. The walls of the building, which was built using carving and masonry techniques, are made of stone; Wooden materials were used for doors, ceilings and windows.
